Raphaël’s story:
“The vines and wine are part of my roots, and ever since I was a child, the cellar has been my second home, between the smells of fermentation, the traditional underground vats or the noise of the labelling machine.
Today, I’m the ninth generation of the Luneau family to be a winegrower, a tradition dating back to 1680.
Each generation was motivated by the same passion and love for the vine and wine, in order to pass down the best of their experience. What about the tenth generation… ?”
“After graduating in the 90’s, I quickly joined my parents Betty and Rémy at Domaine R de la Grange.
In 2010, I officially took over the reins of the family winery, now called Domaine Raphaël Luneau. While still being supported and backed by my parents. It was also hard for them to leave everything behind.
Every year, they are delighted to meet you in order to discover our work and our wines during wine fairs all over France.”
“Today, we have around 30 hectares of vines in three villages: Le Landreau, Vallet and Le Loroux Bottereau.
On the borders of Loire-Atlantique and historic Brittany, we produce mainly Muscadet Sèvre & Maine sur lie, Gros Plant du Pays Nantais sur lie and Muscadet Sèvre & Maine Cru Goulaine, flagship products of Nantes’ vineyard ; as well as white, rosé and red Loire Valley wines.”
